That's the syllabic scheme for a Haiku.  I really like Haikus because they are so simple and need to capture a feeling in such a short space.  I was thinking about writing a Haiku a day this year, but New Year's came and went and I totally forgot about this idea.  I often come up with Haikus but fail to write them down.  So perhaps my goal should be to write them down when they come to me.  Here's what I composed this morning while walking Cooper and Graham:

cold street dark sidewalk
footsteps crunch on frosted grass
moon in navy sky
